To all our friends,
Friends of Bradgate Park have raised over a half a million pounds for the community over the last three years, from outside funders.
Unfortunately, none of this money can be used to fund the group’s running costs or the Resource Centre. We cannot run FOBP without stationery items, printing, phone, photo copying, postage, ink cartridges and of course repairs and services etc.
The Resource Centre in the park is open most mornings from 9am and staffed by volunteers. All volunteers give their services and time freely and claim no expenses.
The Resource Centre offers free advice and services to the community - e.g. photo copying, help with how to use computer, information and direct contact with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council Departments - and also we can arrange meetings with the local Independent councillor or community police officers.
Running an organisation is very expensive at today’s prices. To continue working on behalf of the community, the Friends group needs help in the form of financial support.
Our Carnival was unfortunately cancelled last year, so we were unable to raise funds on our stall, or generate income from the letting out of spaces for stands etc. Our income is now zero and funds are running out.
